Workshops.
Interactive education designed to move ideas from reflection into practice— exploring health, humanity, leadership, relationships, and the conditions that help people and communities thrive.
Pillars of Health is a whole-person health workshop built around a simple idea: health is supported by multiple dimensions of human life, and weakness in one can place pressure on the others.
The workshop uses the image of a temple supported by five pillars to examine physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social/environmental health—not as isolated categories, but as parts of one human life.
Five Pillars.
One Person.
Each pillar represents a dimension of health that contributes to the stability of the whole. The goal is not perfection in every area, but greater awareness of how these dimensions support, strain, and influence one another.
Physical
The body, its needs, its limits, and the daily practices that support physical well-being.
Mental
Thought, cognition, attention, perspective, learning, and the ways we understand our experiences.
Emotional
The ability to recognize, experience, communicate, and respond to emotion in healthy and constructive ways.
Spiritual
Meaning, values, belief, purpose, reflection, and the questions that orient a person toward something beyond self.
Social /
Environmental
Relationships, belonging, community, surroundings, resources, and the environments in which health is lived.
Health as a
whole temple.
A temple is not held by one column. In the same way, a person cannot be understood through one dimension of health alone. The workshop invites participants to consider what each pillar is carrying, where strain may be developing, and how strengthening one part of life can support the whole.
From ideas
to reflection.
The workshop is designed as a guided conversation rather than a lecture alone, combining health education with personal reflection and practical application.
Education with a
human center.
Nurse Martin workshops can be adapted for educational, professional, community, and organizational settings. Additional workshops and presentation offerings will be added as they are developed.

Ideas become useful
when we practice them.
Nurse Martin Workshops translate ideas about health, humanity, leadership, and care into conversations people can examine together—and principles they can carry back into their own lives, relationships, and communities.
